About Our Founder

Alyssa Storoja is the founder of Heritage Home Company, a women-owned design firm rooted in over a decade of expertise in art, design, and architecture.

Her career began in Manhattan’s fast-paced design world, where she managed 100+ high-level projects annually for luxury retail, hospitality, and food & beverage clients. The intensity of that work sharpened her ability to handle complex projects with precision, build lasting client relationships, and deliver at the highest standard.

Raised on Long Island, Alyssa has always been inspired by the region’s blend of historic character and modern living. That balance of old and new informs her approach today. After years in the corporate sphere, she chose to return to her roots, settle in the suburbs, and create a practice centered on personal connection, collaboration, and community.

Beyond client work, Alyssa serves as Branding and Marketing Chair for the Garden City Welcoming Club, fundraises for local charities, and draws ongoing inspiration from global travel, family life, and community ties.

At Heritage Home Company, Alyssa designs spaces that are both functional and beautiful, tailored to the people who live in them. Every project begins with listening—understanding a client’s vision and lifestyle—then layering curated materials, thoughtful layouts, and refined details to achieve designs that feel authentic and lasting.

Alyssa aims to transform homes to not only become a reflection of its owners, but also a mark of her belief that design can create comfort, connection, and a sense of legacy for years to come. Her greatest reward is not the project itself, but the way a client’s life unfolds inside it—family dinners, quiet mornings, or gatherings with friends.
